Of the top contenders for the Republican presidential nomination, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is viewed most favorably by all voters, while Texas Governor Rick Perry is the least liked. Among Republican voters, Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich still earn mostly positive reviews, while Perry and Ron Paul do not.

Sorry Perry fans. Even conservative Rasmussen says no to liberal Perry. I think he would be great if he went and ran as a Democrat and go against Obama for the Democratic nomination. I will admit that 25 percent is lower than I even thought. We have about 3 FREEPERS who support Perry on Free Republican. They obviously are part of the lean 25 percent that Perry has supporting him. When is it time for him to pack up and go home to Texas? Yesterday? I agree.

Can you send to the patriots who are ensuring that Perry NEVER sees the White House! Thank you!!!!

Same thing happened to Bush towards the end of his presidency when he trough his base overboard with the immigration issue.

I’ll bet most of Ricardo Perry’s 25% comes from south of the border.

Wasn’t one of the stated reasons for supporting Perry because Sarah had too little favorability??

I remember FReepers wanting to make Scott Brown or whatever his name was President, even though he turned out to be a left leaning RINO. I didn’t like him from the start but he was running against the spawn of satan.

My only issue with Perry is about susidies to illegal immigrants.
With Mitt I have issues on the 2nd amendment, right to life, Immigration, campaign finance, and gay rights.
With Newt I have issues on his past statements such as
“Social engineering from the right is also bad
Medicare will be left to wither on the vine
We are not going to deport 11 million people
Newt was also for healthcare mandates before he is against it! And he was for man made global warming before he is against it!

Perry has a way of shrinking on people. I still remember being happy in 1998 when he won the Lt. Governor job, because that meant that Bush-43 (the governor) was free to run for president. Then Perry took over and right away signed the gay-friendly ‘hate crimes’ bill that Bush had vetoed (nearly costing him the presidential election). And Perry kept doing STUPID stuff from there...from his INSANE plan to take 500,000 acres of private land for his Tran-Texas Corridor, to the Gardasil fiasco.
And now, just a week ago, he announced his plan to LEGALIZE all of the Illegals that are here. Somehow that was supposed to help his campaign?
