I have to say I find the accusations against Jerry Sandusky very hard to believe. I have met and know Jerry through The Second Mile. Both of my daughters were a part of the Second Mile program, and it is a great program for kids. I would have never hesitated one minute to allow Jerry to be with my children.
He is being judged in the court of opinions. This man is innocent. I support Jerry 100 percent. I also ask that people please do not judge the Second Mile program. They are a great organization for at-risk children. The adults who run this program are the best counselors available. My children learned so many valuable things by participating in the programs offered.
Again, knowing Jerry Sandusky, I find it very hard to believe that he ever hurt any child that was in his company. Please stop judging him and let our justice system work. I think that when all is out and said and done Jerry will be found innocent of all of this.

If you are not only presuming this guy innocent at this point, but publicly vouching for his character, you are a complete fool that should not be trusted with children yourself.
By most reports, her impressions were wrong.
Well, she is an enabler by supporting him.
I never said (or implied) that Mrs. Bishop knew anything. The evidence is pretty clear that Sandusky raped boys, yet she’s willing to overlook it because her kids had a positive experience. There were certainly those at the university that were willing to overlook evidence because of good results. Pedophiles get away with their perversions for so long because people don’t want to believe what know to be true.
Sandusky isn't stoopid. I'm sure he made damn certain that the people he hired were among the best. HE was to be the only predator there and HE only went after little boys. I'm also sure he chose and cultivated his victims with the utmost care. No doubt he also made sure that for every abused boy there would be a hundred with only positive memories of him.
I am aware of cases like this, where a pedophile basically lived a double life, compartmentalizing his criminal side while presenting a respectable front.
And again, Let’s have the Grand Jury go over the major figures on the donor list with a fine-tooth comb to see what pops up.
She didn’t see or read that testimony, she might caught some clips from reporters but that’s not the same thing. She is saying two things, that she believes he is innocent by her impression (probably naive) and that the trial is the proper place to decide (a reasonable suggestion).
No, she did not enable his crimes (or alleged crimes if we are being PC). She knew nothing about them.

Thanks, I am glad you clarified. If she had known and looked the other way, she should be investigated like the others. The University, OTOH, both knew and looked the other way.

The father of a close friend is a homosexual pedophile and he lives just such a double life. He’s a family man, with a wife and two adult kids. Prior to being discovered, he was well thought of in his church and neighborhood. He went to work, did a good job. They lived in a nice neighborhood, had two cars, etc. No one ever expected that the friends his son had sleep over were in danger.
