Many of these shoes appear to be downright dangerous - and I don’t mean just back problems. I think there ought to be a law requiring a helmet while wearing these.
I was in NY a couple of weeks ago and saw so many of these shoes in the stores - but don’t know where you’d wear them - you’d kill yourself on the streets of NY in these. There was one pair that was made out of some animal’s hair - the hair went to a point over the toe area and I think you’d need to comb and hairspray these shoes. The heels were humungous and they had no backs - sort of like a clog style. The salesman saw me gaping at these and said quietly - with a subtle smile - “they’re almost sold out”.
The women of today who would subject themselves to this fashion...they'll regret the day when they find themselves with painful multiple foot conditions that require regular visits to the podiatrist. Not to mention how laughable they look as they attempt to walk.
Several years ago the fashion was very tall platform shoes; a young girl in Japan fell off her shoes and died when her head struck a curb.
