Well, it’s true, if you have to make a quick getaway, heels are not going to work for you. Although I must say, back in the day in New York, I have seen high-heel-wearing older ladies sprint for the bus in a way that would have left most Olympic atheletes in the dust! I think they’d been training in their heels for a number of years, though. LOL!
LOL! I’m sure you are right, but I would be willing to bet my Keds that they were not 5 inch heels. Even my mom who always tells me stories of when they would shop downtown wearing heels, hats AND gloves will admit that they weren’t 5 inch heels. They were the normal high heels of the day. We can see them easily by watching movies from the 40s and 50s.
