Oh Yes. They are great for fishing. I have read that you can harvest them and put in a jar with some corn meal and freeze them and when they are thawed out they are still alive.
Same as snakes. Freeze a snake, thaw it out, and wiggles. So I’ve been told. Had a friend, science teacher, who kept a frozen snake in the freezer then would take it to school. YUK!
