Heres a little tip for the folks in Albuquerque. If ya own a pet the size of a rabbit don’t be surprise if critters try to eat it. Get a bigger pet!

Friends of mine in the Sandia Park area (other side of the mountain from ABQ) saw a cougar in their yard a few weeks ago. Small dogs have more to worry about than an owl or hawk!

Oh most know. We got hawks, eagles (maybe not in the metro area), owls, other raptors, coyotes, mountain lions, bears, wolves (haven't heard of a wolf in the metro area, but we have had all the others, including bears). Chihuahuas are a big percentage of the pets here. They disappear on a daily basis around town. We lost a cat several years ago. Ran out the front door on us and never came back. It's life expectancy out here on the west side was less than a week.
