To: boycott
Teachers come up with a lesson plan one year and repeat it every year for 25 years. It’s all about passing the standardized tests.

Not in elementary school they don't. And they don't get summer off, not any more. The teacher I know best works year round and when school is in session leaves home at 6:45 and gets home after 6:00 and does another 1 to 2 hours work.

I'm not commenting on pay, but this is not a job for goldbricks.

And they don't get summer off, not any more.

That might depend on where you live. I know teachers in AL, VA, IL and CA...all get a summer break. They start work a day or two before the students com back.

My wife is a school nurse and she gets a break in the summer...4 weeks off, work for 2, then off another 4 before school starts again.
