Or their personal search completion settings to stop working. Cant be turned off, stopped, ended or killed. Well, I havent figured it out yet. Perform the following steps:
- Enter "about:config" in the browser address bar, without the quotes, of course
- Find browser.search.suggest.enabled and set to false
- Close tab/window

3. Close tab/window Would unchecking this box: "Tools, Options, Privacy, History, Remember search and form history" accomplish the same thing?

That doesn’t kill it either. I’ve tried that before when searching for a remedy.

BTW, I just checked. It is still set to ‘false,’ all these months later. I wonder what that field does if it doesn’t do what it is suppose to do.
