My bad...there should be a big fat question mark on the title. I have no verification.
There was a 5.6 earlier today, most recent aftershock was a 4.0:

Thanks. They said it was a 5.7, but I just pulled up the map, and it didn’t look as large. Rocking and rolling this weekend, for sure.

They said there were about 40 aftershocks. I just hope these are aftershocks and not precursors.

I hope this activity isn’t relieving tectonic stresses in one place only to have them build in another to let go at a later date... in places like... The New Madrid region.
Looking at this map, there are so many recent earthquakes in teh US, I second your thoughts.

Right after I posted I found the map! My family is in Tulsa, and some of my mom’s in-laws are in SE OKC. I hope this isn’t a portent of things to come for them.
This should make ya happier than a pig in mud.

Now tell me you are happier than a pig in mud. ;-))
I’m happier than a pig in mud. :)
And then there were two.
Hey, when I moved to Texas from California this month I brough the rain I promised. I had NO intention of bringing earthquakes to nearby states...
We felt it last night in northern Oklahoma. It lasted SEVERAL seconds. Shook our chairs we were sitting in.
Not a USGSer, but have studied geology in the past. Pinging geologist to comment.
This article was brought to my attention by another FReeper several months ago. Food for thought...and it was printed in 2002.

I don’t think we should be fearful, I DO believe that people who are inclined to do so should pray for God to intercede to stabilize the earth. Our Lord is the Open Door Which No Man Can Shut. If He lives in our hearts, then our prayers bring forth the opening of that Door for God’s intercession, imho. But also imho, the bottom line is to pray without fear!
LOL! now it’s MY bad! I didnt read your title closely! I saw “earthquake” and “Oklahoma” and was thinking of last night.
We did not feel the one you are questioning about this morning in northern Oklahoma.
