Texas Governor Rick Perry, played by SNL's Bill Hader, paid a visit to 'Weekend Update' to explain his recent strange behavior in New Hampshire that some have speculated was driven by drinking too much alcohol.
Republican presidential candidate Governor Rick Perry gave a remarkable speech in New Hampshire last week that set in motion broad speculation that Perry, who is losing badly in every nationally-recognized poll, was intoxicated. Perry contended the speech was more reflective of the fact that he "felt great" during it, according to the Washington Post, where full video of Perry's speech was included.

That sounds even better!
I have to use these onions though.
A friends hubby bought a 50 lb sack of the durn things LoL
I hear ya'. Someone gave me a 9x 13 pan heaping full of serranos, and jalapenos.
I do think he was trying not to be so stiff. Even if he had a drink, I don't care.
I love the serranos.
You can always dry them.
I don't really have a lot of respect for people who quote SNL skits as fact - it tells me that they are not very intelligent people.

I’ve said all along that he needs to drop his “handlers”.
All candidates are best when they’re themselves.
Governor Perry is a very likable man, but he hasn’t been likable in the debates, thanks to his handlers and his poor choice of words in the Orlando debate.
Not much a state can do under those circumstances when the federal govt over rides what is good for the state.
I will try to find that court ruling later, if you do know it; which you may being from the great state of Texas.
Question for you:
Why did FEMA deny funding for your national emergency issues you faced in 2011? Or am I misinformed.
“..thus whatever one may try to do state wise, as with the governor in Arizona, the federal government steps in and favors illegals. Not much a state can do under those circumstances when the federal govt over rides what is good for the state.”
Yes and no. First, there’s no assurance that the courts will keep ruling in favor of the Illegals. In fact, some strong parts of Alabama’s law did actually start getting enforced, which is why the Illegals started leaving that state (and the sob stories started). The key is that YOU HAVE TO TRY, and you definitely don’t want to make your state a magnet for them, as we are here in Texas.

Not sure...maybe the wild fires last summer? As to denying aid...same reason we didn’t get a Space Shuttle - we’re simply not liked a whole bunch in DC right now.
