You also had a case in Texas that went to the Supreme Court from a school district that wanted students of illegal immigants to pay a specified amount per year and the supreme court ruled on the side of the student's parents free of tuition..thus whatever one may try to do state wise, as with the governor in Arizona, the federal government steps in and favors illegals.

Not much a state can do under those circumstances when the federal govt over rides what is good for the state.

I will try to find that court ruling later, if you do know it; which you may being from the great state of Texas.

Question for you:

Why did FEMA deny funding for your national emergency issues you faced in 2011? Or am I misinformed.

Yes and no. First, there’s no assurance that the courts will keep ruling in favor of the Illegals. In fact, some strong parts of Alabama’s law did actually start getting enforced, which is why the Illegals started leaving that state (and the sob stories started). The key is that YOU HAVE TO TRY, and you definitely don’t want to make your state a magnet for them, as we are here in Texas.

Not sure...maybe the wild fires last summer? As to denying aid...same reason we didn’t get a Space Shuttle - we’re simply not liked a whole bunch in DC right now.
