Stuffing made on cookie pans and baked until crispy--then softened with good gravy when ready to eat.

Cast iron skillet made white cornbread, using a cornmeal mix with nothing added to the cornbread except milk and oil (no sugar!! no eggs!)...allow to cool, and crumble. Add lot of chopped onions, turkey seasonings, maybe cooked bacon to crumbled cornbread. Add enough meat broth to soften mix until workable, and then work in a couple of eggs. Spread onto cookie sheet about half an inch thick, bake until dry and toasty-topped.

Slice like a pizza, put on plate. When ready to eat, pour on the steaming turkey gravy.

I cannot stand soggy dressing...

Save a couple pieces of that bacon and eat them with the pumpkin pie. The sweet with the salty is, I kid you not, hog heaven!
