In this context, yea.
Maybe he took too much Guardasil, its recommended for boys now by an FDA panel.
But seriously, I don’t know what to think of this and wouldn’t want to speculate.
Goofy, yes. Drunk, no.
Anyone of the candidates are vastly better than Romney or Obama.
I will vote for Ron Paul before I vote for Romney.
Perry is great on many issues.
However, there are several “single” issues that are a instant deal killer.
Seems like someone who is just playing to a friendly audience. I think you are reading way too much into it.
Was Herman Cain doing sexual harrasment in the 1990s?
From what I have seen and heard from people there, he was just having a good time and the crowd enjoyed it. So enough of the drunk or drugs BS.
Good thank you very much, later this afternoon, I’m gonna stomp on some bunnies and round up some kittens and throw them in a well.
Rove will appear on FOX with a furrowed brow. Perry will lie about it.
No you were just witnessing what a C- Aggie sounds like.
Now we've got Freepers doing the job for the liberal media.
"It's the seriousness of the charges!"(truth be damned)
If you had to endure Anita 24/7, you'd act that way too.
There are Obama Rat trolls here on Free Republic masquerading as conservatives.
These trolls have a clear intent to bring down republican candidates who have risen in the polls. Obama Rat trolls should be identified and outted.
First with Bachman, then with Perry, now with Cain (and of course, always with Romney), the Obama Rats use a deceptively simple approach.
They camp out on a thread that seems to support a candidate, Cain for example.
They use one-liners and ad hominem insults to attack that candidate, while implying that they support another candidate, for instance, Perry. Then when one visits the Perry threads, that same poster rarely, if ever, appears. When he does, the appearance is luke warm, and mainly directed toward tearing down some other candidate. When challenged, the Obama Rat trolls avoid supporting the candidate they imply that they support.
In addition, the Obama Rats seem to use many of the same talking points, often referring to Mike Huckabee, or some other candidate from the past. They use virulent attacks on individual posters, who disagree with them, to try to drive that poster off the thread.
One need only research the history of comments from suspected Obama Rats to see the pattern.
Obviously, we each have different views on the candidates. Those differing views are worthy of debate.
However, unless a poster starts finding positive points with a candidate, any candidate, with as much vigor as he tears down other candidates, then he is just another shrill Obama Rat troll, not worthy of debate. He should be identified and outted.
Do not underestimate the Obama machine. The following link compares the relative internet capability of that machine utilizing paid staff on Twitter to the significantly lesser capability of each of the republican candidates. Is it even reasonable to presume that the Obama Rats would not have the same capability to influence Free Republic?
Curious as to what you think that Perry lies about ?
I mean, you said you’d have to get drunk to watch the lying sob.
So this is twice in one thread you’ve said he lies......just curious why you say this.
Seriously, dont ALL politicians fib about something or stretch a topic a bit ?
Well, Perry sure looked like he was having a good time with that speech. He had a bunch of kind of awkward gestures that accompanied his words, they were discordant. However, I’m not sure he was tipsy, as he wasn’t slurring and his words were all in the right order and made sense. He frequently seems to use awkward sentence structure. However, I don’t think he was drunk. Maybe had a drink or two that loosened him up, but not drunk.
Actually, I got a kick out of watching him have such a good time. At least he wasn’t boring. Perhaps he was also just trying too hard to be jolly. I don’t know. What I do know is that the MSM is snickering over this (particularly over on PMSNBC), and they are busy making fun of Perry. Jerks.
I call the dufuss a liar because he continues to portray Cain’s sales tax feature as a VAT tax, and if he isn’t lying then he’s just plain too stupid to know the difference.
It’s highly edited. Good lord, FR has lost it’s way here. You all used to spot this crap and expose it.
Here’s a link to the full video here and a good explanation.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Oh the lifeless blogosphere, the couch-bound pontificators of everything political, have declared Rick Perry drunk at his speech at the Cornestone’s Annual Awards and Fundraising Dinner in New Hampshire Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 evening. These poor bloggers, tied to their computational devices and ass containers (those are chairs, but probably couches or Laz-Y-Boy recliners in this case), have no clue about from where Rick Perry learned his dynamic speech-making abilities.
He was a Yell Leader at Texas A&M. For the couch potato bloggers, snarling down their noses at me and Rick Perry, let me explain. A Yell Leader at A&M requires a variety of voices to get a point across. They can be serious, angry, funny, engage in hyperbole, or anything else to get the crowd at Kyle Field to yell so loud that the opposing team cannot hear the next play that’s called. If you’re blogging from Great Britain, this happens at American football games, not soccer games.
Texas media outlets, like The Texas Tribune say they haven’t seen Rick Perry like this before. Apparently they havent been to events where Perry was in full-out yell leader mode, like the Aug. 2009 Hannity Freedom Concert in The Woodlands, near Houston. Here’s a video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMGOGqUO-kQ&feature=player_embedded
The Hannity speech was right at about the time Perry was 20 points down in the polls in the race against Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. After that speech, I said to myself, “Man, it’s all over for the nice lady senator t-sip.” She never regained her ground after that night in Houston. Perry was on fire from then on.
Perhaps all of these drooling bloggers and senior editors at The Texas Tribune need to hire a few more Aggies on their staffs to explain all of this, because the way this week is starting to look, there may very well be an Aggie Yell Leader leading this country for the next four years.
Don’t know what a “t-sip” is? Google it.
I appreciate your reply.
Fwiw, I think * a lot * of people think or feel that it is a VAT tax, without first abolishing the current tax system.
I am one of those people. Fwiw, I’m no tax attorney, or CPA or anything... just a plain ole stay at home mom ( for now that is lol ).
That doesn’t make me a liar or stoopid. It’s just a matter of difference of opinion.
Have a Great blessed Day ~
When you bother to google Herman Cain and VAT tax, and in my case I included the name of Stuart Varney, to see if he addressed this, you get a ton of links to discussions about the nature of the Herman Cain tax when applied to business.
Some claim it is a VAT, some claim it is a modified VAT, some claim it is a step towards the VAT, or if you will, a foot in the door to a VAT. Others simply state that it is not a VAT.
To call Perry a liar and a dufus over his assessment of the tax is very dramatic and the usual bashfest against every breath he takes and every step he makes, but it isn’t reasonable.
Is everyone who sees it as either a VAT or a modified VAT or a step on the road to a possible full VAT, a liar and a dufus?
People differ. Even financial experts differ.
Not drunk. Just one notch short of Gomer Pyle.
