Things got out of hand Saturday at the Occupy Denver protests as demonstrators turned on the police. Reports of graffiti and vandalism against police buildings included a broken window at a recruitment center. In this latest footage, we see a gang of thugs surround a motorcycle cop and push it over while the officer is still on it.

To me it looked like the guy was trying to push the motorcycle forward and it didn’t work. Too much bike for the cop to handle.
There were reports of police on horseback being attacked too
Man I’m having flashbacks of 68. I was so sick of the GD hippies. I was in my 20’s but pretty conservitive back then! I hated them then and now, a bunch of creeps. Water canon their butts!
I would never attack a horse-mounted cop up close. Horses are big! But then, I guess that's just me.
If this is true, why didn’t the cop just shoot the bastards.

It looked to ME - like he gave a shove SIDEWAYS - TRYING to shove to bike over...The cop stepped off the bike and got him.

Yea right. You don’t win points here by being willfully stupid in trying to start an argument. Looks like the cop was a bit too much for the protestor to handle. Besides, when was the last time you pushed a cop or his equipment and didn’t get your face planted into the dirt?
Those mounted police need to be swinging their 5 ft billy clubs. A few cracked open heads and this would all stop.
I disagree. They handled it perfectly. The cop that was assaulted chased down the perp, tackled him and hog tied him in the finest rodeo tradition. The only thing better would have been a recently dropped horsie pie where this idiots face was planted from the tackle.
I watched it twice. The punk definitely tried to shove the bike over.
He was looking for trouble and he found it.

This clown pushed the bike sideways in a surprise move when the officer was not expecting it.
No rider I know could have stopped it from going over, and as a rider who has experienced such things when the bike reach’s a certain point it is better to just let it go down, rather than bust a gut trying to stop it. That is why the bike has crash bars.
The kid deliberately stuck his foot under the wheel, probably after watching the video of that other kid who stuck his foot under the cooter. The kid was treated rather gently to my mind, of course he might get tuned up a little when the camera’s are not on him at the station.But he has it coming.
That jerk was trying to knock the bike over sideways.... and he did.
I ride one of those and had ANYBODY deliberately knocked my bike over, he would never walk normal again. Breaking two kneecaps is quick and easy to do.
