Buck is such a Cards homer. Can’t blame him, though. It must be very special for him to call Cards games as his legendary father did.
I was really hoping for the Rangers to win. It was an amazing game, but it was part of the reason why I hate baseball. So damn stressful! Every pitch is so dramatic.
There really is nothing like playoff baseball.
Go RANGERS! Woo-hoo!
Baseball is tough.... everyone poised on the verge of heartbreak or ecstasy, wondering who it will be. The suspense is too much!! But I love it, can't help myself:)
Playoff baseball is a new thing for those of us in the Dallas area. In fact, comparied to the storied history of the Cards and other teams, our Rangers are still n00bs (sadly evidenced in spades last night).
But you're right, the stress level was through the roof last night. I think part of the reason is baseball is such a cerebral game. It lacks the brute force of football and the speed of basketball and hockey so the focus is on the mind...and mine is just plain worn out from last night's classic.
I have steeled myself for a Rangers loss in game 7 and will probably watch the TCU-BYU game instead to spare myself the downer of another humiliating meldown after expectations were raised so high.
