You've got that right. Not taking anything away from the steller, dramatic finish by the Cards, the monumental collapse of the Rangers will long be remembered, especially here in Texas. I think last night is a bridge too far and our hometown team is so dispirited that it can't be overcome. I see another game #3 on tap tonight with the Cardinals (a team of destiny this year) romping to a huge finish over the hapless Rangers.
As they say in Field of Dreams, "ease his pain." My pain (and those of my co-workers here at the shop) from last night's blown opportunities still stings. I'm sure the same could be said for Nolan Ryan and George W. Bush.
