first it says: "from the poor East Indian town of Bihar" -- Bihar is a state of 100 million people not a town.....

Then it messes up his profession -- read the indian website that says Bihar-based teacher Sushil Kumar...Sushil Kumar is a computer operator and a part-time tutor in Bihar and also it points out that he earns a salary of just Rs 6,500 per month -- that's only about $120/month but it's not only about the normal Indian GDP per capita, but its not too bad for a poor state like Bihar where food is cheap (heck it's cheap in most of India) as are standard clothes. You can get a filling vegetarian meal (which most Indians eat) for $1 or 2 in the big cities, but it would be cheaper in the villages

The term "Computer operator" probably means someone who types in the accounts for small businesses in his town
