I like T.L. and I respect him.
But there is absolutely no excuse for not being in communication with your bullpen coach. geez..ill bet they do this via text message from now on. The bullpen phone is sooo 1979..
I can't believe what I just saw and im not quite sure how to explain it. lol
Rangers Win!!
Thanks Craig for trying to steal twice! Out by the NAP!
Looks like Carpenter was in communication with the Rangers’ Napoli:

Go Rangers!
The Cindarella Team
I'd be surprised if there isn't a rule against that.
How fun to watch W and Laura sitting next to Nolan Ryan for the past three games. But I didn’t see them tonight. Did anyone else?
GO RANGERS!
ST. L. and the very odd La R. seem like a buncha nasty Libs.
he wanted Motte and Lynn came in? was that the goof up? I thought that was an odd series of moves. Also not sure why Moreland batted vs. lhp in 8th instead of a pinch-hitter.
i have noticed the lack of cell phones in the dugout. Perhaps there is a rule ... which prevents extra coaching sitting in the private boxes upstairs phoning down to the manager for discussion. I really think the manager and coaching staff in the dugout are on their own and cannot get input the way NFL coaches have staff upstairs in the stadium.

I've read some really stupid stuff here over the years...
Yea, when he called the bullpen he wanted Rzepcynski and Motte. But it was loud there and the bullpen coach thought he heard Rzepcynsky and Lynn.
and he had no idea that Lynn was warming up in the bullpen and not Motte? With no TV in the dugout and nobody in touch with LaRussa electronically .... makes sense he couldn’t stay informed on what was going on in the bullpen.
Was he surprised when Lynn came running in instead of Motte?
i wondered why he didn’t just have Rzepczynski give the IBB to Kinsler.
Ah, this is that scratch and spit game where nothing happens for hours, actually requiring a break after a while to wake up the stupefied spectators, lest they miss a brief spate of activity before the whole thing is mercifully over.....
The rule is only a single line to the bullpen from the dugout, no outside calling allowed. Electronic phones have been tried but had problems and didn’t catch on but there would be no issues with a type of electronic phone if the above conditions were met.
Thank you! I thought it was odd but I figured I just didn’t know enough about baseball!
Shingles LaRussa is pathetic. He blamed the Brewers for his fielders poor performance in the regular season, claiming they tweaked the lighting to blind his players.
...for years an old Red Sox cart with the big hat on top sat in the gift shop across the street.

Albert Pujols struck out in 9th as part of a strike em out throw em out doubleplay. "Albert Hooblehoff!" Who's that? Fox Sports Radio host JT The Brick was once on the air and he kept an eye on the TV--Pujols got a game winning hit and JT blurted out his name as "Albert Hooblehoff!" Once in awhile they replay that.
Albert Hooblehoff, strike 3!
(Wikipedia:" During the 2005 National League Championship Series, Albert Pujols smashed a game winning home run against the Houston Astros. J.T. was so excited that he accidentally called Pujols "Albert Hooblehoff" while live on the air. Since then, once J.T. mentions Pujols on his show, a snippet of the "Albert Hooblehoff" soundbite is played"
looks like a MIS-TAKE.
My husband too has enjoyed seeing them the last three games and also wondered. He thought they could be up in the owners box tonight. I dpubt he’d miss this one :).
