Sometimes it seems like the current headlines are so dreadful that I don’t have enough heart to start looking at the headlines from 70 years ago - other than to read the pings. Seems like one must have gotten inured to it all after a while... 12 airplanes today, a destroyer and a frigate tomorrow...

Well, at least WE aren’t in a shooting war! Something is coming which should remind us that it can all change on one really really bad day.
