Ditto here. It’s Cain or Newt for me. Ideally, both would end up on the same ticket—how often does it happen though that running mates get chosen from former primary contenders? Just curious, if anyone knows.

I see talk on this thread about choosing a VP candidate. Here is an article from a Reagan insider on how Bush was chosen in 1980. I didn't realize how close they were to picking Ford. If you love Reagan, this is an absolutely great read, it just takes a couple minutes to read.
