Yes, and you can thank the Libs for it.
They have made America a cesspool.

We ditched the feed three years ago and have never been happier. Why invite that crap (at great expense) into your home? We choose our viewing with netflix when we view. Blood pressure is much reduced.

Name a program that doesn’t include premarital sex and/or adultery.

I have no idea. We got rid of our TV channels 3 years ago (have a dvd player is all) and it was the best thing we ever did.

Dunno. It has been literally years since seeing an episode of a sitcom or other weekly network hash.

My son is 18. Tonight he came into the living room and asked, ‘Is it abnormal for me to think that a show has too many graphic sex scenes?
“I mean, damn. We get the point. Yes. He’s bangin’ another chick. Enough already.”
When healthy young men are so inundated with sex that they’re tired of it - I’d say that they’ve gone overboard.

I haven’t had TV since 1997. I use the set to watch DVDs.
Read a book. You don’t need TV. When you’re on your deathbed, you won’t be thinking, “I wish I watched more TV.”

Yeah unfortunately it’s the norm..it sucks but this homo crap is everywhere now. I watch HGTV and I enjoy watching HouseHunters, when I check to see what the episode is about and it will say something like “A couple in Missouri looks for a condo that will accommodate their cat and 8 month old child” or something like that..so Im thinking “Husband and wife” but NOPE, instead I will see two dudes and they call that a “Couple.” its disgusting what they refer to as a couple these days

The only network shows I watch is NCIS, the rest seems to be soft porn and sometimes down right disgusting...I have satellite and do get to watch lots of reruns from years ago before everything was sex. There are no good writers left so you get poor writers that use sex and smut as a fill in for no talent writing...

FX is a cable network.
TV is a cesspit these days.
Yep, even the kids channels are getting bad.

I have cautiously been watching Pan Am on CBS on Sunday nights. When I first saw it advertised around the same time promos for "The Playboy Club" started running I figured it was just another attempt to copy the success of "Mad Men" by exploiting the sexuality of the 60's.
I checked out the first episode. I was surprised. So far there is a lot of Cold War era spying and the real star of the show, for me anyway, is the 707. There have been a few adult scenes, but I've seen worse on NCIS, but so far it's been good. Of course with my luck, the next show will be full of sex and vulgar language just after I recommend it.

I blame the smut on TV today on Bill Clinton. It was his TV Rating system that opened the doors to all kinds of depravity as long as they coded the program with the proper series of rating codes and the TVs were equipped with the Vchip, they could pushed the envelop all they wanted.

I tell my kids, it is a sliding baseline. I grew up with a married couple in twin beds, to broke-back mountain. What will my kids be exposed to in 30 years?

God blessed me with a son that has never cared for the programs that other kids his age (10) like, such as Sponge Bob, or The Simpsons. I will go so far as to say he hates them. He doesnt even have a TV show he turns on regularly other than the old Bob Ross painting show that shows up on PBS. He spends more hours listing to old-time radio shows he got last Christmas such as Edgar Bergen Charlie McCarthy or Abbott & Costello, than he does TV. I even let him go to bed with it playing, and quietly thank God.

Nope, you’re not alone, and yes it is now the Norm.
And it’s only going to get worse I’m afraid.

Taking care of my mom means much time to myself. TV was becoming to me a substitute for companionship. Because of this, it was hard, but I finally pulled the plug. It has increasingly become a major propaganda tool for everything I abhor. Also, using Jesus name in vain was happening more and more. I cannot tolerate using the name of The LORD in vain so more and more shows were off my viewing list. Finally I decided to pull the plug and have been happy with my decision ever since. Amazingly it is hardly missed.

I have no idea if it is the norm or not. We have a home library of over 500 titles that we usually watch...along with 4 weekly broadcast shows(2 NCIS’s, CSI, Nature). Sometimes Cops and The Closer might be factored in.
