U.S. Senator John McCain has compared Russia and Libya, saying that Muamar Gaddafi's death should worry the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, according to Gazeta.ru.
"Dictators in all countries, including Bashar al-Assad and, possibly, Mr. Putin and some Chinese leaders should be worried. I think this is spring, but not only the Arab Spring," McCain said during the BBC's Newsnight show.

First, notice this hated dictator didn’t need to have streets closed off for his safety, didn’t need a convoy of armed vehicles and guards, etc - perfectly safe riding through the streets, (looks like prosperous city, people, cars, etc) waving from the sunroof, with no protection.

I am puzzled over that that...
Were the people too fearful? Was it propaganda and there were plain clothes guards amongst the people? I don’t know. Crazy times and finding the truth seems difficult at best.
