I have a neighbor who teaches kids this age. She dresses and acts the same as they do.

I think thats the problem, these teachers don’t see kids as kids, just short adults.

What I’ve seen is the opposite - people who should be adults, but prefer to act like kids.

Good point. Another problem I see is the vast inconsistency within the law. Had that same 16yo committed a felony, you can bet the same prosecutor would charge him as an adult. So, is he a man or a boy? I recognize that the law does not need to be completely consistent or balanced (reverse the genders and we would all be ready to hang the teacher), but our kids are confused by it all. After all, girls can get an abortion without their parents’ consent.
