Many research groups have reported excess heat from deuterated palladium using many different experimental techniques. Recently, the Navy's SPAWAR laboratory published experimental results that document the production of nuclear particles, thereby suggesting that nuclear reactions are occurring. However, these observed particle tracks are at levels that are much smaller than would be expected if this excess heat resulted from conventional nuclear fusion. These excess heat reports often vastly exceed that which would likely be produced by chemical reactions or by structural phase transitions in the palladium.
On May 29, 2009, the University of Missouri hosted a seminar titled, "Excess Heat and Particle Tracks from Deuterium-loaded Palladium."

A gram of hydrogen can produce over 140 btu’s. So a gram and a half has the energy to raise a pound of water to steam with energy left over.
But with that 45 million you may get refills.

$45M will look like a bargain in a few months, if he’s real. If he ain’t, his life won’t be worth 45cents. There’s almost nothing in it for him if it’s a fraud.

***Rossi wasn’t the one weighing the hydrogen. Your position requires a conspiracy theory involving multiple people. Many of whom have scientific reputations at risk. At some point, your theory drops like a house of cards.
Most of the rest keep their work under wraps due to the past negative publicity. That doesn't work well for someone who is trying to goad investors into parting with their cash.
Maybe he is for real. If he isn't, you can be sure it'll only take just a few more months to work the bugs out...

Scaling these things up might be way beyond interesting.
My thoughts on the matter are that the North Koreans are pretty much ahead of everybody in using this previously unstudied phenomenon to come up with a bomb ~ not a really big nuke but one that'd set your teeth on edge if it went off in your neighborhood.
Eventually they'll figure out how to use it to produce useful energy.
They were so good dopers preferentially stole them from postal facilities they broke into.
There are electronic scales out on the shelves at drugstores that are far better than this.
Are you sure you've been keeping up with scale technology?
Now, about electronic scales, most of them have been modified with attenuation programs that enable the scales to stop weighing after sufficient samples are made (usually in the millions these days due to faster/better chips) ~ so normal air movements shouldn't be a problem HOWEVER, it's wise to tighten one's sphincter muscles ~ methane is heavier than air!
Extremely sensitive scales exist but do you suppose they were used in this demo? Do you suppose the scales used were calibrated and tested for accuracy?
Given how the rest of the demo was conducted I really would doubt that a scale accurate to 1 part per 13000 (or better) was used.
The biggest scammer is Rossi. Jailed twice for fraud and the advertiser of a degree awarded by an 'institution' that was shut down for awarding fake degrees. Nice of you to bring it up.
The only scale mentioned in the test equipment list was a bathroom scale calibrated to 'two people that knew their weight"!
