Gov. Mark Dayton says he will call a special legislative session for a vote on a Vikings stadium bill even if there is not a specific proposal tied to one of several proposed sites.
The Democratic governor met Monday with legislative leaders to discuss the team's bid for a new, partially-taxpayer funded stadium. Dayton set a deadline of Wednesday, Nov. 23 for a special session, and says his only requirement to call it is the Legislature's four caucus leaders must agree to limit the agenda to the stadium issue.
Dayton says he'll work in the coming weeks toward a specific proposal tied to proposed sites in Ramsey County and Minneapolis, but says he needs support from lawmakers. Leaders of the Legislature's Republican majorities were reluctant to pledge strong support for a new stadium.

They just put a new roof on,, it’s good for another 20 at least..
or maybe they should just flood the thing, seed it with some fish and use it for indoor ice fishing contests and snowmobile racing. :-)
The Purple also turned down the idea to share that nice , new outdoor stadium with the maroon rodents.
lol Not a dumb question at all.
The problem isn’t finding a place big enough, the problem is that all 800 are going to be entitled to a trial and you just can’t consolidate 800 cases (well, ya can but it is highly unlikely). And if each case took just half a day ... well ... therein lies the problem. 80% of the cases would get dismissed for failing to meet speedy trial requirements.
Did I miss something? 800?
I read an article that said there were 800 cases. I could be wrong, but don’t think I am. *shrug* I know it’s quite a bit with more to come.
