Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton once again quashed rumors that she's still interested in running for president, this time in an interview with NBCs Today on Monday.
I'm really old-fashioned. I feel I have made my contribution," Clinton said. "Im very grateful Ive had a chance to serve, but I think its time for others to step up." Writing, teaching, and working on issues that affect women and girls will be in her future, Clinton assured NBC's Savannah Guthrie; that and relaxing at home.
Clinton shrugged off speculation that she should run against President Obama in 2012or that she should have been elected instead of him in 2008. It feels irrelevant to me, Clinton said. She praised Obama for doing an excellent job under the most difficult circumstances.

Are you convinced now, or are you still paranoid that she'll pop out out of left field and RULE THE WORLD?
“Step up” (and stop Obama from destroying the Democrat Party)
Why should she run?
Another Alinsky protege is at the helm.
The cult of Dracul is safe.
I think she finds she has more power as Secretary of State. The Clintons have always been about under the table back door deals, and in State she can go around the world setting up deals for the USA, her real friends, and herself.
As president she’d have lots of people watching her every move. Of all the Secretaries of State I can remember, Clinton is in the news the least. When she goes to Myanamar, then Angola, then Northern Ireland, what is she doing?
At her confirmation hearing, when someone in the Senate mentioned that they were uncomfortable with the foreign money pouring into the Clinton Library fund, she said, OK, the money will stop coming into that fund!
The Clintons are both pathological liars. The leftists will vault her into the nomination as a “moderate” to retain power.
“Clinton shrugged off speculation”.....
That usually means the opposite in liberal speak.
It’s off to play alpha mutt in the clipped haired lesbo pasture. Thank the Lord.
You actually believe something a Clinton Says? Really?
If she runs she will surely go down in history as the ugliest POS that has ever run for POTUS. The years have not been kind to Hillary. No wonder Bill runs around.
Agree. Not only is another Alinsky protege at the helm, she can't wrest the nomination away from him, if he wants to stay. It appears that he does.
Too late. He's already wrecked it beyond all recognition.
Way to go, Hillary! You can kick Bill out and make zillions telling the truth about him!
You're probably right, but my gut tells me that Hillary really has had enough of politics, and wants to finally ease back into the life of a private citizen. She's been a part of the Democrat political machine since she was First Lady of Arkansas.
Her heyday is long behind her now, and she (at least) seems aware of that fact, unlike so many in the chattering class (and on FR) who simply refuse to believe that she doesn't have some secret plan to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!
And then, she'll TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!
I think she looks tired, like she’s giving up on herself.
Good riddance ot the world’s so-called smartest woman. Or was that Pelosi?
Hillary is simply confirming what I've believed about her for some time now. She's not wearing well, and it shows. She's tired, and out of the loop of Democrat power politics.
Notice how quiet her office is. Hardly ever a peep from her in the national headlines. As Secretary of State, she could easily be one of the major faces of the Obama administration, but she's chosen to keep a low profile instead. That hardly seems like someone who's angling to stay relevant and fresh in the minds of the voters.
This is what makes me believe that she really has no higher aspirations in government. Statements like this from her, only confirm that observation for me.
