Vision, about half the wood we sent you was mesquite and half was fresh-cut pecan. I included a note that described the difference, but maybe the note got put aside, so you may have thought the whole batch was mesquite.
The wood with reddish-colored inside is the mesquite, and the wood with the light-colored inside is the pecan—which we had cut a short time before we sent it to you.
We can always get you some fresh pecan around here, and we’d be glad to. We’ll be going to Texas before the end of the year and will get some more fresh-cut mesquite, if all goes well.

You sure did, I have the letter right here. And had I familiarized myself with it I would have used mesquite tonight instead of pecan and saved myself a few hours of thinking...wow, fresh mesquite is mild and sweet...(:
I will say the fresh pecan is a little stronger than the store stuff.
