Quapaw Counseling Services, 1301 SE 59 St., is now known as Absentee Shawnee Counseling Services. The grand opening ceremony is from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday .
The reason for the sale is that the Absentee Shawnees have the jurisdiction here that the Quapaws did not. However, under Absentee Shawnee Counseling Services, we will continue to offer the same excellent treatment to all people, native and non-native, that we have for the past four years here, said Dan Cross, executive director.
Treatment is low cost, with no out-of-pocket expense to people who are Medicaid or O-EPIC eligible.

Well that brings back some memories, including a 3rd ex-wife who was from near there, and a father-in-law I helped bury in Punkin' Hollar. Seriously. That's where we buried him.
There are parts of NE Oklahoma I never wish to see again, regardless of how close and quick Kansas and Arkansas are from there.
I pray for the best for their clinic.
Lots of folks up there need it.
And maybe some genetic consulting. Lots of diploids going haploid up there.

why would not want to see some parts of NE Oklahoma?....could you expand on your thoughts?...
“why would you not want to see some parts of NE Oklahoma?”
Maybe all his exes live in NE Oklahoma? If that is the case, it may be dangerous to him. LOL!!
