I've been tuning in to Andy Parks' radio show, Andy Parks Live from the Washington Times since it began seven weeks ago. By now, it seems Andy's settling in to the show quite nicely. I enjoy the drive home, and he mentioned today that he'll be taking calls soon; up to this point the show was mostly news and commentary, with guests from the Washington Times reporters and columnists.
Unfortunately, I was behind the wheel when he gave out his new call-in phone number. You can download the latest program podcasts at his show website.
What was also nice today is it appears the Washington Times is loosening up their oversite, and we're getting a bit more of the old Andy style when he was over at WMAL: silly parody songs, humorous side remarks, etc.
His show is on from 3:00 to 6:00 EST Monday through Friday at AM 730 WTNT. (It's a great show, and I have to admit I enjoy it more than Hannity)
Silvie, thought you’d be interested...

Guest Airline Stewards!
I like Andy but I’m listening to Dennis Miller now then Lou Dobbs.
Andy and Grandy was a good morning show.
Hannity is the worst.
630AM left a trail of guys.
-Chris Core
-Michael Graham
-Andy Parks
-Fred Grandy
I really liked Fred and Andy in the morning.
Andy and Jeff Kuhner are great together. They should team up for the whole show.
I enjoy Andy too, no matter where he’s working. And yes, I agree that this show is more of a pleasure than Hannity. It’s possible to get very tired of Sean’s voice and general bearing. He keeps saying the same thing, over and over. Andy Parks, however, has charm combined with passion. And I love it when he goes a little over the top.
Both Grandy and Andy got screwed by WMAL 630 AM ...
Now they have “Morning Majority” with Brian Wilson, Mary Katherine Ham, and Bryan Nehman - pretty good show ...
Michael Graham, Chris Core, and Chris Plante* also got sh*t-canned ...
* They replaced Chris Plante with the audio feed of “Morning Joe” - which lasted about 3 months, then management realized that their listenership was going down the tubes. So, they BEGGED Chris Plante to come back and he did ...
Chris should have told WMAL to get bent. But I guess the money was good, so....
I remember that. I switched on the radio one day and thought that the left had taken over at WMAL. I had nothing else to listen to for that time slot, so I lasted until I heard Scarborogh do a pal-sy interview with Pelosi or Boxer or somebody, one of the rabid California Democrats. That was it- I'll do without until they come to their senses and bring Plante back- which of course, they eventually did.
I can't understand how Scarborough has any audience at all.
Thnaks for the message, Cobol...
