Why do you think Rush didn't bring up Palin's announcement that she's not running for president?
I thought it was a bit unusual myself. You would think that he would have at least mentioned it in passing. He didn’t take many calls today either.
Because it isn’t Monday, November 5, 2012 yet.
Oh my gosh, are there still Freepers on here that think she still might run, even after announcing she isn’t? If so you need to get help ...
Do you know how ignorant that sounds? Millions of people expected her to announce. She was running something that had all the appearances of a campaign. Of course there’s a big story there. You may not have been rooting for her,,, but its silly to pretend like it’s not news.
Today was Steve Jobs day, just like I assumed it would be.
He didn’t mention it for a reason besides “it’s not a story.”
And there are a few things to discuss there. Did her kids say ‘mommy no’ and that was it? Was she that shallow? Or was it more likely her calculus that she couldn’t run against Obama and the GOP establishment.
Still,, a much bigger story than the hippies out on Wall Street.
Rush seemed to hop on the Palin bandwagon early on (unusual for him) but then seemed to jump off and onto the Rick Perry bandwagon. I don’t remember him getting involved so early in 2008.
To 24 - Please explain how you’ve concluded that “millions” were expecting her to declare. Be specific.
I do not want to hear from Sarah.
I think he is disappointed in her (as he indicated last week) and is waiting for the “dust to settle”. Perhaps he is trying to get more info before saying anything.
She has hurt conservative “women” in politics for a long long time.
Tammy was quite upset today. I am upset too.
The Tea Party members who supported her and talk radio listeners.
Yeah, that reminds me. Have to change my tagline from:
First they came for Sarah Palin and conservatives said nothing...
to.....
Maybe he is disappointed in her.
I believe he is.
Well, he opened his show and made a big deal out of Christie’s announcement.
I think it is odd he never mentioned it.
However, he has been saying he didn’t think she was going to run.
His total focus with Apple lost me. It gets boring.
Rush hasn’t been the same anymore. He goes off the rails and becomes almost super crabby and flippant at times.
He was never rude to his own callers as he has been lately.
He is a generous person, so I will attribute it to old age. LOL
Well, the lamestream media have to find someone else to bash.
I guess that means it’s gonna be Bachmann...
Maybe because a caller might have mentioned Palin.
“Do you know how ignorant that sounds? Millions of people expected her to announce. She was running something that had all the appearances of a campaign. Of course theres a big story there. You may not have been rooting for her,,, but its silly to pretend like its not news.”
Really? it was pretty clear to me after Oct 1 passed (she gave end of September as a deadline) and that little talk about titles and shackles.
The difference with Christie was that he gave a powerful speech that gave his supporters a reason to hope he’d reconsider while Palin gradually lowered expectations.
Why would Rush mention it? He knows how her supporters are feeling today...so he has enough respect for them to give them time to recover from their loss and it is a loss to them. I realized 2 months ago Sarah wasn’t running and it took days for me to get over being absolutely crushed by that realization. I felt a huge loss from it.
Did you mean 10/6/11 in your tagline? tagline says 10/04/11
