I am writing to express my displeasure with the decision of ESPN to pull Hank Williams, Jr. from your Monday Night Football opening.
Mister Williams did nothing more than express his opinion on a television show. The last time that I checked, we still have a United States Constitution (I served to defend it in the Marine Corps) and we still have the freedom to express our displeasure with our government and our elected officials.
There never seemed to be an issue with that when President Bush was in office.
Since you choose to ignore Mr. Williams right to free speech, I will no longer watch your broadcasts in my home. Many of my friends share my views on this.
May your ratings follow Mr. Obama's poll numbers.
Sincerely,
X.X.Xxxxx XXXXXXXX, Texas USA
Well it’s not about free speech. I can agree with that. However, we can not pass up any opportunity to rightfully bash the leftist media such as ESPN.
The fact that you are limited to a lame personal attack reflects the weakness of your argument. And “other Hank Williams Jr. fans agree with me” is not a convincing argument to anyone beyond puberty.
The MNF intro started sucking once they got rid of the two helmets dropping.
Absolutely. And I think a lot of people will notice “Are You Ready for Some Football?” was missing and they will wonder what happened.
What was offensive about his comments? Did you see the interview?
Of course, if Bocephus had simply changed the order of the names in his comparison, liberals would be calling him a hero.
That "American" you are defending was plotting new ways to make you die in your own Country. My only regret is that we don't get to see the look on his face when he went BOOM.
What defense ? Our President committed a crime. Could care less who the crime was committed against. The US is making every single country on this planet its enemy because of these illegal actions. How about not giving training and arms to Bin Laden in the first place. How about not letting Muslim illegals into this country in the first place. Pakistan has not been turned from a neutral status to a full blown enemy of the US and they are Islamic and they possess nuclear weapons.
not been turned should read now been turned
Do not fall into the trap of the left’s political correctness folks.
By attacking Hank and siding with the libs at ESPN, what did you expect, a lovefest. Do what you will I could care less, but I meant everything I said. Never pass up any chance to bash the left. They are the enemy, weigh into them not Hank.
You got that right. I also hope that Hank stays 100% unapologetic.
Too bad you couldn’t have made it a petition that we all could have signed.
As it is, I have been watching much less of the “pro” sports because of their silly Political Cowardice stands. Just like this one...
I doubt that a petition would have any more impact. The libtards at ESPN don’t listen to anything but the voices in their heads anyway.
You missed a great game last night as it was exciting to the end. The stadium was jam-packed. Curtis Painter was doing a pretty good job and gave the Bucs a fight...but Tampa managed to pull it out in the 4th Quarter. Great game.
I think they just yanked Hank for last night. Now that he’s apologized, they’ll probably have him back starting next week. Maybe then, if you are a real NFL fan, you can get over your boycott. LOL.
I am a fan of our Country, our Constitution and our Liberty.
I am also a real NFL fan.
I just choose to not support those that would place their Anti-America agenda ahead of common sense.
Espn is owned by Disney.
Disney has their ESPN sports complex where all sorts of kiddies go to compete in various events.
Perhaps we should be writing to Bob Iger.
