My point is this: how short is TOO short? If you wear tea-length skirts, there are some that would find that “hussy” like. If you wear a skirt to your knee, there are the tea-length/ankle skirt wearing crowd that finds that “hussy” like. I went shopping with a friend of mine for her late teen daughters. Nice dresses/pricey even and none of them at the knee or below it. They were all mid-thigh. They looked unbelievably beautiful in them as well. When NYPD or anyone puts “blame” or “points a finger” at a person who was raped and blame their clothing then the only true “alternative” for “respectable” women is to wear a burkah. Cover themselves completely so that men can control their raping urges. Men who rape are rapists. True men don’t rape a woman because she showed an ankle, a calf or a thigh.
Yes, rapists are rapists. The police officer’s point is, they are looking for a target. One that catches their eye, and preferably one they think is easy-access.
