Oh, I forgot to add..........grandma always added a bit of sugar and salt to the boiling water to cook the corn on the cob....and I still do that to this day!

mmm...never thought of doing that myself. Hubby now steams our corn inside the husks in the microwave. They seem to be very fresh-tasting. :) Doesn’t take as long, either.
