You have to remember to keep your garage door closed when they are colonizing. They can build a nest in an afternoon, and then you can’t close the door again until the eggs are hatched and out of the nest. And the following year, the same birds come back and rebuild.
That was our problem when we first moved here. The previous owner used to leave here garage open. But, we love our barn swallows.
Here is a update on our venture into having our hardwood floors refinished. The floor guy put the final coat down on last Friday and we first set foot on them after Church Sunday and the sloooow process of moving back in is progressing. Just one gouge under the bookcase so far but the biggest threat was moving the old 356# Sony TV back in was solved when Lady Bender said... “Let’s buy a new LCD Sony” and Shazzam it was done!
