I had a thought about Herman Cain and the black vote. I have heard on several radio stations references from the black community about Herman calling him an Oreo or Uncle Tom.

Based on this, I doubt that the African American community will swing significantly in his direction. I would be surprised if he increases his margin there by 5%

However, where Herman Cain makes substantial inroads is with independent, middle-of-the-road White voters because he assuages Black Guilt.

I believe that his candidacy will remove the pressure to vote for him or be labelled “Racist”, which, I believe, motivated a large fraction of this group in 2008.

Additionally, of course, he has an admirable character, a sound head on his shoulders and is a Washington outsider at a time when the public has a low opinion of professional politicians!

He has always been my first choice and I thought he didn’t have a chance. He’s catching on, there’s hope!! It would be so wonderful to have someone with common sense as POTUS.

“As we waited in line, someone started singing and pretty soon five or six hundred people were joining in on our national anthem, “America the Beautiful,” “God bless America” and even “Amazing Grace.” It was amazing.”

From the article:

“Of course, the mainstream media thinks it can pick the Republican candidate for president just like they picked McCain in 2008. They have consistently pitted Perry against Romney, but Cain blew them out of the water”

This guy is great. While Palin dithers around and plays coy, Cain is out there in the game. Forget Sarah Palin. Herman Cain is who America needs right now.
