I think Parley Baer’s character Chester’s humility and faithfulness makes him a wonderful example to us all.

Howard McNear was awesome. And he got better after the stroke.

Baer was excellent in creating Chester's as is a good man but a little slow.

Last week, Doc had a bit of an ethical dilemma that Chester couldn't quite comprehend. I thought that segment was well drawn and acted.

You’re right, SteelYourFaith. Chester is a tad slow, but in the end he always understands, as he did with the horrible dilema Doc was in.

I think the “slow” people will shame us all in the end.

Things have been a touch busy and I’m ready for them to slow down. MD has had 6 months of rain in the last month so drying out would be good.

Thank you, Gina. I thought I'd was close to having a 'get your affairs in order' discussion with the doc, but things turned out a lot better than I'd anticipated. Sometimes diabetes makes you feel magnitudes worse than you actually are; other times, you can feel like a Greek god and not realize you're coming apart at the seams.

Yeah, I know about that 'feast or famine' rainfall. We might not get a drop for weeks at a time, then *BAM!* six inches in 24 hours. My grass is so schizo, it doesn't know whether to spontaneously combust, or just wait it out and drown.
