I know this was posted but I was watching O'Reilly and the Rep. Ellison repeated the same gaffe. Are they REALLY that stupid? Must be the talking point of the day.

I was watching this. He made this blooper while praising Obama in the same segment. Maybe some low level campaign preppie typed the talking points wrong for the teleprompter.

These clowns all get the same memos of talking points.
Ellison was on MSNBC all last nigh claiming the cop-killer they were about to execute was innocent, and the next night he’s on O’reilly, and O’Reilly wasn’t smart enough to ask Ellison if he really thought the murderer was innocent or should be released just because he was black. Another great job, Ted Baxter.

Actually, I think the country that built the intercontinental railroad was Russia, seeing that the Trans-Siberian Railroad runs from Europe into and across Asia.

Or maybe it was Britain, which completed a rail link between Africa and Asia by building a railroad bridge across the Suez Canal in 1918 for the Palestine Railway.

The majority of the Union Pacific track heading westward was built by Irish laborers, by Mormons who constructed much of the track in Utah, and after the war by veterans of the Union and Confederate armies. Chinese immigrants did most of the work on the Central Pacific track. Most White men received between one and three dollars per day, but workers from China received less and were supervised by Whites. Eventually, the Chinese went on strike and gained a small increase in salary.

I am looking for government funding to support an expedition.
If you have SCUBA or Deep water diving and salvage experience, I may be taking you along to locate the remains of this colossal endeavor. If you have any knowledge of where the ruins of this project are located please contact me. Best guess is that it ran from Harvard to Oxford University.

He does have a factual basis:

[T]he song [Wabash Cannonball] is based on a tall tale in which Cal S. Bunyan, Paul Bunyan's brother, constructed a railroad known as the Ireland, Jerusalem, Australian & Southern Michigan Line. After two months of service, the 700-car train was traveling so fast that it arrived at its destination an hour before its departure. Finally, the train took off so fast that it rushed in to outer space,...

Of course this does not meet the "What if Dan Quayle had said that?" test.

O’Rielly failed to nail Ellison on failing economic policies too, although I don’t recall my exact criticism, he missed it.

I am a former Governor of our 57th state. Does that count?
