Bottom line is Romney has managed to knock out the only conservative with a legit chance at beating him for the nomination, and he barely had to lift a finger to do it.

Romney will not be our standard bearer come November. Of that, I am certain. He is unacceptable to the vast majority of center-right voters, who understand that our country is in mortal danger of going under from the near-fatal barrage from the Obama left.

Palin will enter soon, and will be the standard bearer that Perry can not be.

I would support Palin enthusiastically. Where I agree with Perry on 95% of the issues, I agree with Sarah on 99.9%. I see no indication she is running though.

The establishment clearly wanted Romney. I think they've managed to get him.

When I look at the Electoral College map from 2004 and 2008. I understand that blue around New York right now. I understand the California thing at this point in our history.

but what really saddens me, when I look at the blue in the middle. Even my beloved heart of it all was blue in 08.

I look at the others. the Michigans, the Iowas, and it hits me..the Republican party left those states.. they didnt leave us. The Republican party turned away from Middle America in the last 20 years. Sarah Palin is the only Republican politician in America that can really connect with Middle America. She is middle America.
