LBJ: “ I’ll have them niggers voting Democrat for the next 100 years...” You think Perry would agree with this? Do you? I do not. I could never accept this. I hate LBJ because of this and many other reasons. I accept LBJ burning in Hell, but that is just me. Do Not lump Perry in with LBJ.
“Perry voted for Gore”: Are you sure of this? Really?
Perry worked on his team for a little while, I might accept this. I believe he saw the light and distances himself from Gore and the Dems. People grow and change their stances. I have. Will you?
People change, at least most people do. Y’all sure let the flak fly.
Perry gives you the scours, thats fine. But, you oughta quit crappin’ it out here. Y’all are running out of TP, and its gettin’ messy. Que tal? He may win? Y’all are scared. Where the hell is S.P.?
Perry will listen to the people. He is a Centrist/Populist.
We have beaten him down on a few issues. Can you say this about Romney, or Santorum?
You’re a Perrybot. That’s OK, he’ll still be your governor. Enjoy.
So was Bill Clinton.
With age comes wisdom, young_conservative.
Yes he was. I won’t deny that.
Perry is and always will be a centrist. I can’t even hope he will change and neither should any of y’all. Perry is an American Citizen and way so much a protector of freedom than the current um, dude in the Whitehouse. And he has more class.
I prefer a centrist over a marxist anyday.
Wisdom is understanding. Often is understanding thee mistakes of the past and trying not to make them in the future. Yes, Wisdom does require some experiance. But that is not always good enough. Sometimes good enough is taking conventional wisdom (years of carefull research, thoughtful planning and accepted theory) and throwing it right out the window.
This country needs a conservative. Palin and Cain are all I see as possibilities.
I prefer a conservative over a centrist anyday...
Friend, you only have to review the last year of her activities to lift the veil on what she's been doing. No one in her position would have said and done all that she has, during such a critical time as this, if they had no intention of running for president.
Apply this bit of reasoning to the question as well..... would she have allowed millions of her staunchest supporters to organize for an anticipated presidential campaign on her behalf, if she weren't running? Would she have allowed them to expend so much energy from coast to coast for over a year, if she truly hadn't made up her mind to run? Do you think she would allow everyone in the country to be hung up about her intentions, if she really weren't already committed to running?
The logical answer is, no. She wouldn't betray the trust of so many admirers and broken glass supporters in that way. I don't even think a dirty dog liberal would do such a thing, if they were in her position. Much less Sarah Palin.
Palin is strategically timing her entry into the race. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by her being a part of the early stages of the primary, but plenty to lose. She is wise to delay entering until the last possible moment. She saves hers and her supporters' time, energy, and resources by remaining undeclared for now, and she loses nothing in the bargain.
Her communication lines to the public are still wide open, and she continues to get her message out in speeches, tweets, TV appearances, videos, and articles. Being officially declared would not improve that.
At the same time, she isn't being damaged in the primary battle, like the others are. Being officially declared would only increase the likelihood that she would.
In addition to that, she isn't battling for attention by positioning herself within the field, and is benefiting by the weekly attrition occurring among the candidates.
Now that this has all been going on for some time, her strategy is clearly visible, and must be grating on some of those who were forced to join the demolition derby earlier than they wanted to.
She has played this masterfully, and will no doubt, continue to do so. She's obviously many, many moves ahead of her rivals on the electoral chess board.
It's true. She's already connected with middle America, hence the almost nail-biting anticipation about her coming announcement.
People are desperate for a leader they can honestly trust to defend, protect, and restore our beloved Constitution and our way of life. Sarah fits that bill like no one we've seen in a generation.
It will be Palin. Of this, I have no doubt.
Buc, dude, I am with you. Do you know one?
Buc, I love S.P.and Mr.Cain. She isn’t going to run. Perhaps she can be the V.P. ( She is in my prayers ). Mr. Cain would make a killer Cabinet member in any role. I hold him in the highest regard.
Yeah...Palin and Cain.
Reagan didn't announce until November 13, 1979. I'll give Sarah until November 15.
Me too brotherman, me too.
I would love to see S.P. and Mr. Cain in there.
Right now, I need to see anyone but obam.
We cannot let him get another term.
Perry needs to pick up his game, and I may not be with him on all issues, but he sure the L isn’t like Lyndon B. Johnson!
Lyndon B. Johnson was one nasty SOB, a filthy man. You may not like Perry’s positions but to compare him to LBJ, that’s just ridiculous.
Buc, that was a misguided post. Not meant for you, sorry.
Yep that's my dream-team for sure....and ABO all the way ...
I like your optimism. I would be so thrilled.
It would send a tingle up my leg if She did.
Not in a pervert way, mind y’all.
It would be sooo Kick-A..
We can pray and h... um, anticipate. Yeah! Anticipate!
Run Mrs. Palin! Run! We Got Your Back, Ma’am!
