We need your prayers, folks... My 56 year old brother was advised this afternoon that he might have 12 months to live.
Bill was involved in a terrible vehicle accident about 5 1/2 years ago. The x-rays taken at the time of the wreck allowed the doctors to see the 3 spots (atypical carcinoid tumors) on this left lung. His left lung was removed, he went through physical therapy for his wreck injuries, and then proceeded to try and get on with his life.
Last year, they found a tumor between his left kidney and his back. They removed it... Then recently they found that he had another tumor growing around his ribs on the left side. At the same time they found another growing on the bronchial stump where his left lung had been removed. The specialist today advised that the tumor on this rib cage was not the issue, but that the one growing on the bronchial stump has now paralyzed half of his esophogus and that it was inoperable. They are going to put a stint in his esophogus in order to keep it from collapsing and to provide extra strength for as long as possible. Things aren't looking good, and it appears to be only a matter of time.
That having been said, I know that with God all things are possible. Please pray for my brother, Bill... He is a good Christain patriot in need of healing.
Prayers up for brother Bill..
Tell your Brother to try the Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital in Columbus Ohio for a second opinion. Ask about the “Cyber knife” surgery, (may not be spelled correctly) It is saving lives that once couldn’t be saved. But he’s got to act fast because cancer doesn’t wait.
I think my surgeon, Dr. Ross is the one behind it, but I’m not sure. Dr. Ross saved my life in 2006 using a micro surgery to remove 1/4th of my left lung, leaving me with only a 2 inch scar & a nickel size scar where the drain was.
But now they have this new “Cyber Knife” surgery that I’ve heard is doing impossible miracle work for lung cancer patients.
It’s worth a try.
Prayers going up!
'For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. '
Your post for prayers has moved me, Raven6.

Prayers up for his healing, his strength, and his spirit.
You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.
Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.
Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from his heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life.
As you heal and renew your servant, Lord, may he bless and praise you.
All of this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Thank you all for the prayers... We are going top check into a couple of other possible treatments/procedures. I had someone (in the medical tech field) today recommend that we check out Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Anyone out there have any experience or know of anyone else’s experiences there?
