There in lies the problem! Hate the sin love the sinner is is a load of manure. Is a serial killer any less repulsive because being is not bad just the behavior. Maybe a little over the top but if we insist that those who perform a repulsive act are not in and of themselves repulsive where do we draw a line? Sex with animals, children, murder, rape where is the line? Homosexuality is a repulsive physical act and one of a select few that the bible mandates stoning. People who continue to act out repulsive behavior are repulsive and churches that tolerate this because we must love the sinner nolonger have any moral authority.

Scripture makes no such fine distinctions. The apostle Paul says all such will have their part in the lake of fire, not those who "behave" this way

You know Ray I wonder about that now. My youngster and I have a disagreement but I do truly wonder if he’s right.
He has a friend who claims to be homosexual but also claims to never have had sexual relations with another man. So, my son says he isn’t a homosexual, just confused. So, if you’ve never engaged in the behavior, but just think your sexuality is corrupted, are you really a homosexual or not? Good question, one we need to answer. If you “are” something, its ceding the language war over to the sodomites. They want to have their immoral bahaviors defined as part of their “being” not their depraved “doing”.
Just for discussion. Tell me in the Genesis 13:13 where the
author writes But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.” Was Moses talking of the Men of Sodom— or their sin? In Genesis 18:20-21 Where the Lord says “Because the Cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin in grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the Cry of it,....”And later when Abraham is bargaining with God for the City —Abraham suggests there may be righteous among the wicked.
while it is popular to say Love the sinner—hate the sin—what I take from Scripture is that people sin—people choose to sin—homosexuals choose sin. Genesis 19: clearly suggests in verses 1-23 that among those sins-or perhaps springing from the sins defined in Ezekiel—the men of Sodom
chose the wicked behavior of homosexual behavior. ... Why else would they refuse the offer of Lots virgin daughters?
They were betrothed to sons of Sodom. And custom to the time and place the host offered his dearest possessions in attempt to avert evil planned against those under the shelter of his roof. True enough the sin/ behavior is
condemned but we do not/cannot claim to love someone if we do not hasten to pull them from the consuming fire.
In this case I prefer to defend the students right to be a Christian in the place where he is captive by law—than to
bring the silly argument over if he misunderstood Scripture or not. His comments , as reported, seem no more inappropriate than the queer actions and anti-religious actions of his teacher that seem to have precipitated the remarks.
