You are right about this. If I posted every time I saw a misspelled word on others' posts, I would have hundreds of thousands of posts. I ignore most of them. It's just the repetition of so many misspelled common words annoy me. Almost all of them stem from ignorance of the English language. It's as though people blithely pay no attention to the spelling of words in the material they read that is written by professional writers.
I credit my ability to spell correctly in most instances to lots of reading while in high school, and I therefore don't call upon spell check very often.
So, as you can see, my speling is imaculate.

actually, I’ve had a thing about spelling since grade
school, probably owing to the satisfaction that I got when
it always turned out that the final two spellers in EVERY spelling bee were me and a Filipino Army brat in my class
named Ramon Sabordo.
I’ve also often wondered why some people I’ve noticed on game shows like Wheel of Fortune simply can’t see the word puzzle when it’s staring them in the face with only a few letters missing. I came to the conclusion that they just hadn’t exposed themselves plain and simple to the written word enough. Otherwise the puzzle would simply reveal itself. I once got a ‘famous name’ puzzle with NO
letters showing. A four letter first name with a nine letter surname beneath it. I blurted out Jack Nicholson~
My wife was astonished when that’s what it turned out to be.

I disagree. I’m much, much better at spotting errors in others people’s writing than in my own. I read my words as saying what I meant and spelled as I intended, even when they’re actually quite diffident.
