According to the website, the Thanatos houses an extensive collection of early post-mortem and memorial/mourning photography dating back to 1840s.

So, not all their pictures are posing dead bodies. It's true that they all are related to death, though. You can see the samples here: Thanatos

I was clicking through some of them in the Post Mortem section because it was interesting..until I got to the Ochi collection that grossed me out..so I had to stop.
