As great as he was on the old Andy Griffith Show, he is indeed flawed (in real life). Check him and Ron Howard ("Opie") out endorsing Obama's Marxist "change" agenda in this 2008 presidential election tv commercial:

Yeah, I know Griffith endorsed Obama and starred in that embarrassing ObamaCare commercial but the fact is he was BRILLIANT in the role of Lonesome Rhodes.
