In Chicago they now have a 24-hour vending machine for prescription drugs.
"Doctors enter prescription details electronically so the machine can determine patients' insurance information including co-pays. Patients can use a debit or credit card to make their purchases."
The service is called InstyMeds and it's for emergency room patients at MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island.
Can i haz illegal non-prescription drugs?
What could possibly go wrong...
Are they going to posted armed guards?
Just how long will it take for these vending machines to be broken into/stolen/hauled away by a truck with a chain? My guess is 1-2 hours tops.
I give it less time.
“What could possibly go wrong...”
More importantly, who will customers scream at when they have to actually pay for their drugs? “But, But..My co-pay is only 50 cents!”
If you have an IV kit, they also offer streaming.
We have had these machines in Tallahassee for a few years..
