WASHINGTON — The United States faced increasing pressure on Tuesday as the Palestinian quest for statehood gained support from Turkey and other countries, even as the Obama administration sought an 11th-hour compromise that would avoid a confrontation at the United Nations next week.

A day late and a dollar short OR are we really supposed to believe that?

Either way, watch as the administration now has to contend with increased Arab hostilities and isolation towards Israel over the election year. And this to prevent whats looking to be a political rout becoming political genocide for the Democrats.

If it gets any worse, the GOP may take the Senate even before the election through party defections.

Guess he should be sorry for throwing Mubarak under the bus now.

Arab spring my rear-end. We're heading into Arab fall with a long Arab winter to follow.

Is it time for sympathy yet? After all, he was dragged kicking and screaming to the convention and the nomination.
