What in the hell is this? These are the same guys who gave Obama the blank check which let the Democrats basically have complete control of the debt limit increases. They sent one through this week with hardly a peep for a half a trillion dollars. Now we have this stupid talk about 'smart' infrastructure? We just spent billions out of the original stimulus on infrastructure so parroting the President's FDR style language on this 'jobs' bill is just crazy. Right now there is a potential economic abyss approaching. These guys know it. The Bank of America job cuts are not the end but the beggining of a nationwide scale back as the banking industry is devastated by Frank/Dodd. This is like shooting a bb gun at an elephant its stupid and will do nothing but make the country even weaker with even higher risk of futher credit downgrades.

“Infrastructure spending” is code for union jobs.

Yeah he’s been tweeting similar crap since immediately following the speech.
I really have to wonder what the GOP game is. They threw fits about Bachmann having the audacity to speak out against it.

Cantor has always been the whiney weak link.
Expect him to be as big a caver as McCain. At least McCain doesn’t whine.

The GOP leadership is more comfortable with the Democrats than much of the Republican base. Michelle Bachmann is more of a threat to them than Nancy Pelosi.

I think this is the transportation bill 6 year that is up
But what is up with this namby pamby response to the President?
The Republicans can’t just say no. Why not? Cause they got their
feelings hurt in the debt ceiling debate. They won!
also
Cantor wants money for his own district because of the VA earthquake
Why is the federal government in charge of transportation?
that’s the corruption. remember when they took away Rick Scott’s
money to give to a Democrat state bedcause he wouldn’t do high speed
train?
We should have states rights for transportation funds

I’ve met Cantor and though usually he is solid he is most certainly a career politician and intends on remaining solidly in the establishment camp or maintaining a wide straddle of the divide. I don’t understand this guy. They need to think outside of the Washington box.

They are afraid of sounding like they absolutely oppose Obama, since that would be kicking a man when he is down. We might disagree, but it is part of their PR campaign. They will probably agree to some insignificant sort of spending, especially on things that have to be spent on sometime anyway, like infrastructure.

Dear Readers strategery was counting on Cantor and all of the Republicans to poo-poo his “plan” before he was even finished talking.
This doesn’t give the White House the fodder that they had hoped and planned to use against us.

Psyops maybe? I'm wondering if they are putting a little fear into Bambi. He pulled this thing out of his @ss pretty much knowing that it wouldn't pass and he would be given a free pass in blaming the "obstructionist Republicans" for the trashy economy.
Everyone, including President "Pass this Bill" knows this thing isn't going to do diddly jack squat to improve employment, so I think the Pubs best option might be to go along to get along and let the results fall squarely where they belong.

If a person sounds like a whiner, chances are they are a self absorbed whiner. Looking out for themself. This guy has nothing I would support because he flip flops around. Everytime I hear him speak, I want to puke. He could not wait to get to the mic and talk compromise. Yuck
I have no respect for him.

I agree. This was simple strategy to give nothing to Obama and it worked.
To: indylindy
Cantor is a rino and should be replaced in leadership by a tea partier.
To: Mygirlsmom
They are not that smart or tactical in their thinking.
