The eggs look good!
Yay! I’m coming home with chickens one day. Already warned hubby. I think I want a smaller breed, and no roosters! I was nearly flogged as a child and I’m still afraid of roosters.
Hi, Diana! Do you know if a person can have different types of chickens together or do you have to select one specific breed? I have always wondered if a person could have various breeds so the eggs would vary as well?
Six rhode island reds and one Sexling rooster. I want to get a few more, probably will go with loghorns, pictured in photo #2.
We are getting purebred Ameracauna’s. I had a hybrid mongerel that strayed into our yard for awhile and she kept the whole side yard groomed of weeds and bugs, slept up in a tree at night and was friendly and laid a green egg on the deck everyday. The only thing I gave that chicken was a water bowl, several handfuls of popcorn (unpopped) each day and salad scraps.
