Ready to feel just a bit older than you did before? Check this little factoid out.
Green Bay Packers rookie Randall Cobb(notes), the team's second-round pick out of Kentucky, is the first person born in the 1990s to play in an NFL game. That's right the 5-foot-10, 191-pound 2011 junior was born on August 22, 1990, just a year before the beginning of the career of New Orleans Saints kicker John Kasay(notes). Kasay was on the wrong side of the Packers' 42-34 season-opening win, and Cobb made all the difference in his first regular season NFL game.

GO PACK!
Poor reporting? I don't get it...
Except it isn’t true. Tyron Smith rookie on the Dallas Cowboys is the youngest player in the league only 20 years old. I guess if you’re talking about a regular season game, then I guess it’s true.
If the Saints hadn’t tried the same stupid play on 3 or 4 different short yardage situations, we might at least have seen overtime. That was two very evenly matched teams last night.
Yep, those two teams probably will cross paths again down the road.
Can you think of another team that could have even kept it that close last night?
The way I read it Cobb is not the youngest, just the first born in the 1990s.
I have no idea why that is relevant to anything.
Like all NFL stats, the pre-season simply doesn't count, nor should it.
Heard him interviewed about the game. The TD pass was a blown route. The kickoff return was also a mistake, he was supposed to take a knee. Hope he keeps making mistakes like that all year!!!
LOL! That is exactly what I thought of when I read this kid’s name. ;-)
I believe the “no touchdowns” was in reference to kick returns, not rushing, passing, or receiving.
I think you’re right. When I re-read it that way it does make sense.
