She was the White House intern who found fame for all the wrong reasons.
Now, 17 years later, Monica Lewinsky is still trying to play down her scandalous affair with then-President Bill Clinton.
She is single, her line of handbags failed to catch on and, according to the National Enquirer, is living the life of a near recluse.
Monica, 38, flits between homes in Los Angeles owned by her mother, her father and brother and an apartment in New York that is also owned by the Lewinsky family.
But her life is far from a social whirl of a-list parties and she is said to spend much of her time alone.
An insider told The Enquirer that Monica has given up her own place and moves between the two coasts trying to work out projects that may never get off the ground.

She was 21. He was 46. She was a naive and young intern. He was the president of the most powerful nation in the world.
Boy, who would think that this could turn out badly?
I feel that she was naive and had no idea that he would harm her in the way that he did. He lied to her and told her he would divorce his wife and be with her. She believed him because he is one of the most charming son of a guns to ever walk the planet.
She was used and manipulated by the president of the United States. She was a sitting duck, in my opinion. She didn’t stand a chance.
And now, all these years later, people still judge her harshly. I think they should show her more mercy. The deck was stacked against her from the very beginning. It’s time to let it go and let her be. She can’t change the past.
And he should have paid for his crimes, but he didn’t. She has paid by becoming infamous. How pleasant could that be?

From that point until December 1998, it was all about Monica, what sex is, what is is, obstruction of justice, impeachment, Hillary tantrums, disbarment etc.
Why shouldn’t the MSM which has put so much trust in this guy hold his feet to the fire when it comes to the promise that he would marry Monica after his POTUS stint was over? Why don’t we hear anything about that promise? Why do we all, all of us, accept so easily that it was one of those acceptable lies?
It says something telling about the culture we live in.

Women like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton sashay through busy social lives, TV shows and celebrity appearances with no apparent discomfort over their sex tapes, which have been seen by millions. Most people Lewinsky’s age or younger are not going to be shocked or scandalized over her history - either she needs to make new friends or she’s got other problems.
According to this, Clinton has denigrated their relationship to a purely physical fling that he indulged in only because he could, lied about everything... but Monica is still in love with him and always will be? I doubt the veracity of this report. But whatever. I mean... it’s a pity that her life was ruined and his goes on pretty much undamaged, but that’s what happens when a young woman sleeps with her married boss. She pays more than he does (unless she’s a minor.)
You’re right. The one thing most needed though, and not to be preachy here, is that she needs to turn her life over to Christ. Amazing things happen. Look at Paul... I really do hope that a good preacher, solid in scripture, sees this story and reaches out to her.

I do have compassion for her, but reportedly this was not some one-time screw-up brought on by the POTUS. She had a lengthy previous affair with a married teacher before she ever moved to Washington, DC.
I have compassion for just about anyone who is not Hitler or Stalin or some serial killer, but she was a knowing “home wrecker” who was happy to get her jollies at the expense of other people’s marriages.... I don’t have TOO much compassion for her..... granted by the time someone is having an affair there (often) may not be much left of a marriage, but I will never respect someone like young Monica who not once but twice (that we know of) attaches herself sexually to a married man, no matter what we may think of the man. Takes two to tango....

I wish he had her life. Instead he goes from speaking engagement to speaking engagement making millions.
I’m proud to say that i never voted for him. The sad thing is that I did not get the government I deserve.
